Disastrous.
I had not been following my plans or doing anything this term. I was slacking.
During Science class, I was doodling and not listening, thinking that everything was not important.I think I was too cocky and arrogant, thinking that I knew it all.
When the final test came, I was unprepared. Which explains my C6.
However, my Science teacher, Mr.Low, spoke to the class about our bad results. These were his words if I'm not wrong:"Class, I believe all of you have done badly. Many of you come and ask questions to ask for marks. Why didn't you do this during my Science class? The important thing now is that you learn from your mistakes and move on. There is still Term 3 and the End of Year exams. So , I know that everyone is sad, my the aim of school is not to just score a whole bunch of A1s, but to LEARN."
I think I learned more from his words than the whole term.
In order to succeed in Science, I realized one must have an knowledge-hungry mind, always asking questions and questioning the world around us. In order to be a good scientist, we have to accept the fact that our hypothesis may be wrong, and that there are always other alternatives to our hypothesis.
Those very inspiring words by Mr.Low changed my outlook on Science.
Learning Science would never be the same to me again.
